This sweet, hopeful little scene is the latest in a long series of finger-painted landscapes that have been evolving through my work for a long time now.  My main focus in these pieces is to use color to evoke feelings of safety and goodwill.  Feelings that anything is possible.  That magic is real.  I think of this piece as featuring a single-parent family.  A small clan of lanky trees basking in the sun.  Glory is a bright, uplifting little gem sure to add a warm sparkle to any room.

First, I primed the board with black acrylic gesso.  Next, applied paint directly from the tube to my fingertips and then created the image by patting the wood (like playing a drum).  The result is a loose, uniquely textured painting featuring a bold style something like a cross between Van Gogh and Dr. Seuss.  The image and texture continues around the sides of the board.
