Montana

Completed in 2003

Approximately 7" x 11.75"  (Irregular)

Acrylic on Russian birch wood

Montana is a beautiful piece in person, unfortunately it did not scan so well.  The bright sunny colors in this piece blend subtly in real life, not harsh and brash as they appear in the scans.  This painting also has a clean, minimalist composition accented by exciting textures.  It is an open, Midwestern scene that offers a calming glimpse of a quiet place.

This piece was created entirely with my fingers and a dental tool (to add texture).  No brushes were used.
