This beautiful dream of a painting makes me so happy. It was a treat to paint. This piece is a combination of finger-painting and traditional brush painting. It is highly textured and the lines that make up the drawings of this piece are actually wonderfully natural, irregular, three-dimensional ridges. There are teeny bits of surprising color peaking out of unexpected places and a fun, active composition. And there is something so exciting about the landscape features breaking free of their surroundings and floating up. It reminds me that anything is possible. |
