Tender is a charming, colorful painting about accepting and even embracing the vulnerability of our tender human state.  This piece has rich layers of color and texture and also continues my interest in the subtle inclusion of language in art.  There is a single phrase painted in small letters broken into three parts.  The parts appear in separate squares and they read, "I know...  I am... fragile".
