This is one of my favorite landscape pieces.  It is a single drawing completed in two parts on one mat board.  So the white space that you see above appears in the artwork as well.  There are two beautiful, symbolic homes, each located on a peaceful hillside at the end of a private road.  It is a comment on the degree to which we share with one another versus the space we require to maintain our own identities.  This piece is filled with wonderfully rich layers of subtle color.  It has an exciting, dynamic composition and a familiar, engaging subject matter.
