Wishbone

This unusual vibrant abstract is edged in warm metallic gold paint and contains a treasure chest of exciting colors. It also continues my interest in the subtle inclusion of language in art. Each of the bright squares contains a single word. In no particular order, those words read, "Please, accept, embrace, love." This beautiful exotic piece was painted to add a bit of romance and thoughtful quiet to any home or work space.

I began by pushing acrylic paint around with my fingers to form some unusual, naturally irregular ridges. Next I layered broad areas with yellow and greens and a teensy bits of rich metallic gold. Then I used my smallest detail brushes to paint the bright squares and their wise words.
