Sometimes it is worth taking time out from our busy messy routines
to notice the obvious and to give thanks. Notice the lines and
the colors and the textures all around you. Notice your
breathe as it comes and goes. Notice the sounds of nature
underneath the sounds of mankind. And feel in your heart how
blessed you are.
This painting has a single phrase painted in tiny black letters in the upper white "window" and those words read, "I am alive today!" Because that can be enough. Being alive today can be enough if you let it. I am hopeful this elegant unexpected abstract painting will bring inspiration and comfort to your home or office. How Alive Today was created..... After the black acrylic gesso dried, I used acrylic modeling paste and imported black artist's stucco gel to create a variety of exciting textures. Once those textured layers dried, I used traditional paint bushes to create this lovely expressionist piece. Alive Today was painted on a rigid canvas panel. The edges of the panel have been painted, so this piece looks lovely displayed just as it is on a small stand or decorative easel. Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting. ***NOTE: I can include a new plastic stand with your order at no charge if you request one at the time of payment.
