(The painting continues around the staple-free sides.  This is a digital photo.  The scans above are more accurate.)

MY REACTION:  This piece is more lovely in person.  Filled with subtle variations of blue and purple.  Rich layers.  And that soft vulnerable little heart.  So brave.

CONTENT:  I know this idea is often clichéd and I tried to paint it in a more subtle manor, but I really do believe that even a tiny amount of warmth in a sea of blue can make all the difference in the world.  No matter how far down in that blue we may find ourselves.  Even the palest light is enough.  It will strengthen.  Get brighter.  You just have to hold on to the best parts of your heart and believe and be patient.  No fear.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This is primarily a knife painting.  It is noticeably textured.  I cleared the texturing from the "window" and then painted the heart part with a brush.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  This piece is on a gallery stretched canvas.  The painting continues around the staple-free sides.  It can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  This one also shows well on the wall as it is, unframed.  Or it can be shown on a small display stand.

No fear.
