I believe the age of accomplishment at all cost is finally coming to an end and the pendulum is now swinging towards values of spiritual peace and living in harmony with the only planet we have been given.  This unusual image is filled with deep satisfying colors and with crisp clean lines.  It depicts the notion that ambition need not lead us towards power or wealth in the traditional sense, but instead might guide us towards serenity and enlightenment.  Towards nature and a peaceful spot with a view.

I am hoping this fun vibrant gem will bring balance and a bit of nature to your home or office.

How Ambition was created.....   After the black gesso primer dried, I used a palette knife to apply the layers of color that would become the expressionist backdrop in this piece.  The rest of Ambition is a traditional brush painting.

Ambition was painted on a rigid canvas panel.  The edges of the panel have been painted, so this piece looks lovely displayed just as it is on a small stand or decorative easel.   Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.  ***NOTE: I can include a new plastic stand with your order at no charge if you request one at the time of payment.
