Lately I have met several folks who - like me - are struggling to find a way to create a safe place in the midst of chaotic circumstances.  Circumstances beyond our control.  Struggling to create our own sense of peace.  Simplicity.  Calm.  A sense of our own wellbeing.  In a larger environment filled with the complicated needs of others. 

This image is my interpretation of that challenge.  It is one of my favorite new paintings in a long time.  The lovely colors.  The fabulous contrast of that organic, energetic, demanding background with the calm quiet muted "window" area.  That clear symbolic home.  This is what painting is all about for me.  A piece like this.

I hope this beautiful elegant expressive painting brings comfort and understanding to the home or office of some fellow explorer out there.

How A Place for Me was created.....   I used palette knives, brushes, and my fingers to bring this piece to life.

This piece already has a saw-toothed hanger attached and the sides are painted. Allowing you to display your new painting unframed if you choose. Or it could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass. PLEASE NOTE: Because this board is a really hard surface, the painting is delicate and could be easily scratched. I will apply gloss varnish to this piece to protect it if you request varnish at the time of payment.
