Crayola crayon on acid-free mat board

(Enlarged to show details)

I love this floating apple!  This is such a unique little still life.  And it is filled with really yummy subtle color.  It has quite a commanding presence for such a small drawing.  And it has a great playful light to it.

I am hopeful this quirky little drawing will bring a bit of whimsy and color to your home or office.

How Apple was created.....   Crayola crayon drawings are very labor intensive and sadly I cannot find the time to work in this media very often anymore.  I regret that because crayons allow for a dreamy kind of color that is unique and offers universal appeal.  Everyone loves crayons!  This drawing was created entirely with crayons, there was no pencil sketching done first.  And the color was layered and layered and layered to reach this luminous state of "stained-glass-like" warmth.

Apple was created on a neutral toned piece of acid-free mat board.  You will want to frame this piece to protect your investment.  One affordable way to frame this unique drawing would be to purchase a standard-sized 8" x 10" frame at your local home store and then bring the frame and the drawing together to a custom-framer.  Ask the framer to mat the drawing to fit the frame.  That would give you a decent sized mat border on all sides and would allow for a lovely presentation of Apple.
