MY REACTION:  I love painting hearts.  Rich full plump juicy hearts.  Nothing is more satisfying for me.  The symbolism somehow feels like every emotion I never realized I had.  Like opening my soul up and letting the fresh air in.  Hearts feel good.  This one feels especially good.

CONTENT:  When we stay in difficult relationships with difficult (or worse) partners.  We may be stubborn or lazy.  That is possible.  And we most definitely prove to be bad at picking appropriate people to love.  But we also may be good at loving.  Good at devotion.  Good at staying.  That might be the lesson hidden in  the long years of hardship.  That we love well. 

I take some measure of pride in that small talent.  Yeah, I loved the wrong guy and I stubbornly refused to see that he was the wrong guy.  But at least I loved him well.  I was devoted and I did not give up when things got tough.  And that is good practice for loving the right person well when that day comes.  Knowing how powerfully I love just means I have to be extra-careful where I aim my my heart.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This is a combination of brush painting, knife painting and fingerpainting.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  The painting continues around the staple-free sides.  This piece can be easily and affordably framed as it require no matting or glass.  But it also shows beautifully on the wall as is, unframed.
