Oh this piece is sumptuous.  So soft and subtle.  Like perfectly ripe fruit.  That purple!  This is a soothing image.  I hope it brings a moment of stillness to your home or office.

Can you imagine what it might be like if the whole world was still for a moment together?  If we all drew one deep collective breath and marveled at the miracle of our existence?  What would that be like?

How At Rest was created.....   The sides of this canvas are textured with some really neat imported black texturing gel.  Then I created this piece with traditional brushes.

This piece was created on a stretched canvas primed with black acrylic gesso.  The sides do have staples, but they are completely hidden under acrylic texturing gel and paint.  This painting has finished sides and may be displayed unframed either directly on the wall or on a decorative display easel.  Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it required no matting or glass.
