MY REACTION:  I have so much of myself wrapped up in this painting.  I cannot be objective.  It has been a TON of work.  And truly a labor of love.  I do not think Barack Obama is Jesus.  I do not think John McCain is the devil.  And I do not want to offend my customers who will be voting for McCain.  What I do believe is that Barack Obama is a genuinely kind, widely intelligent, intellectually curious man.  Who makes judicious decisions.  Who thinks.  And I know that thrills me.  Gives me hope.  For all of us.  Barack Obama gives me hope.  And he inspires me to be a better citizen.  A better person, really.  His courage and his willingness to serve inspire me.

I am grateful to live in this country at this time in history.

A few years back, I had the good fortune to see Barack speak in a small grade school gymnasium.  It was an honor to be there.  I hope this unique, expressive painting brings a wee bit of that magic to your home or office.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  I used brushes, palette knives and my fingers to pull this one together.  And I sketched it out first in ink.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  This piece is on a deep gallery stretched canvas with staple-free sides.  It would display nicely unframed either directly on the wall or on a small display easel.  If you prefer a frame, this piece could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.
