Beautiful Morning is a soft, warm painting filled with light and motion. It is an inspirational dream of new beginnings. And a glimpse of the healing power of nature. This small family of trees growing strong and basking in the morning light. This is a delicious piece. The colors are so rich. More like a ripe fruit than a candy.

How Beautiful Morning was created..... The line that divides the land from the sky in this piece is actually a fine groove that existed already in the wood. I just put it to good use. After priming this board with black acrylic gesso, I used palette knives to create a wild expressionist painting filled with soft colors and active textures. Once that layer dried, I used brushes of varying sizes to build up the sweet trees and to add the highlights that make this image glow.

Beautiful Morning was painted on a rough wooden board primed with black gesso. There is a saw-tooth hanger on the back of this piece so that you can display it unframed if you like. The sides of the board have been painted as well.
