MY REACTION:  This piece feels turbulent to me.  A little ominous, maybe.  With all those bits of red flying about.  But not too scary.  Because those trees have each other.  They have created a warm refuge within the wilder red green storminess.

CONTENT:  Lately I am appreciating my friends more than ever.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  I love to create organic layers of texture and color.  Intuitive, expressive work.  Stuff that feels like nature.  Like bark.  Or weathered siding.  Or rocks.  Stuff that feels like it took a long time for it to get so complex.  But also feels natural and like all the elements have blended and become a cohesive whole over time.  The textured in this piece are especially satisfying.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  This piece is on a rigid canvas panel.  It can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  It could also be displayed unframed on a small display easel.

We lean together for strength.
