Oooh ...  this piece is yummy!  The colors here are enchanting, even more so in real life than on your computer.  You can feel the light.  And the whole painting is like a meditation.  A deep breath of fresh air.  A poem that reminds you of a time when you were at peace.  I love this little landscape and I hope it brings a vibrant bit of happiness to the home or office of some fellow seeker out there.  The words in this image read simply, "Be still."

How Be Still was created.....   This is a traditional brush painting.  I used wide soft brushes to lay down the underpainting - a sky filled with reds and dark brown land.  Then I used progressively smaller brushes as I built up the layers and added details.  By layering greens and yellows atop that contrasting underpainting in the sky, I was able to create a sense of glowing light that really sings.  I finished the painting with teeny detail brushes, adding those fine fine lines and the words.

Be Still was painted on a rigid canvas panel.  The edges of the panel have been painted, so this piece looks lovely displayed just as it is on a small stand or decorative easel.   Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.  ***NOTE: I can include a new plastic stand with your order at no charge if you request one at the time of payment.
