This gracious, colored pencil drawing is one of my very first truly spiritual pieces. It has always meant a lot to me. This drawing captures the feeling of kindness and goodwill that I see lurking deep down in most human hearts. A desire to share, to show, to be open. It is a quiet, peaceful, feel-good moment and it is a unique drawing filled with deep, beautiful colors that glow. I am hopeful this warm original drawing will bring a bit of hope and magic to your home or office. How Blessings was created.... I rarely have time to create these detailed colored pencil pieces any longer. They are VERY labor intensive. To get colors that deep, I have to layer pencil for many many hours. Often for days. My hands cramp so bad I wake up aching. It is worth it when I see the results, though. The level of detail that I can capture with pencils is unparalleled. No other media can do what pencils can. This is a luminous, emotional drawing and I really hope that it finds a home with someone who shares my belief that we can only heal our own hearts by sharing them with others. We can take the comfort we need only by giving comfort to others. Blessings was created on an acid-free mat board. You will want to protect your investment by framing this piece. You can save a bit on framing if you choose a ready-made frame at your favorite home store and bring the art and frame together to a custom-framer who can mat the art to fit the frame. But if you go this route, I highly recommend that you replace the plain glass with what framers call "museum glass". That will screen out harmful UV rays. These colored pencil pieces are EXTREMELY light-sensitive and will quickly fade if exposed to direct light.
