This painting is noticeably textured and you may see "hot spots" where light is reflected off the surface of the most textured areas.  Additional detailed scans are available on request.

This is a gentle, warm painting that feels like the beginning of a good time in your life.  A new stage.  The snow is melting and life is returning.  Anything is possible really.

This piece is uniquely textured and filled with layers of color.  Tiny bits of warm color are peaking out all over.  And it has the feel of a "modern antique".

How Blooming was created.....   I used palette knives to lay down a textured layer of acrylic modeling paste.  Then I pushed "deep dish" rubber stamps into the paste and carefully lifted them off leaving the letters HOPE in relief.  I also cleared the textured paste from a small "window" where I would eventually create the scene.  Once the paste dried, I used all kinds of tools to create the layered mottled expressive background.  And then I used a soft cloth and tiny detail brushes to paint the lovely scene.

Blooming was painted on a 4" x 6" stretched canvas.  The sides of this piece DO have staples but they are covered by layers of texture and color and they do not show at all.  This painting looks lovely displayed as it is without framing either directly on the wall or on a small decorative easel or stand.  Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.
