MY REACTION:  I honestly think I do some of my best painting on this series.  I am not sure why.  I do not own a rat.  I have never owned a rat.  But my friend who adopted all these rat children loves them so much and takes photos that capture her love.  And I just feel that.  I would paint every one of her photos if I could.  They make me happy.  The rats are so expressive and sweet and innocent.

NOTE:  This piece is not a brightly yellow colored in person!  It scanned "hot".  In reality, the yellow color is more subtle.

CONTENT:  I never thought much about rats until I was found by a lover of rats who first bought the painting titled White Rat and then went on to become a collector of my work and also my friend.  She managed to infect me with her passion for rats.  Here is the series...

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This is a combination of brush painting, knife painting and fingerpainting.  Over the top of other painting and paint pen sketches.
