This painting makes me so happy.  I just adore the goofy bird and the gorgeous colors and the open composition.  It is so festive and has so much attitude.  The words in this piece read, "At least I am not boring."  Because many of us struggle with being different.  I do not have my life organized, I do not make many "wise" choices, and I am not tidy or efficient.  I have lots of problems.  But at least I am not boring!

How Colorful was created.....   After the black acrylic gesso dried, I used acrylic modeling paste to add some nice organic textures.  Once that base dried, I used a variety of brushes and tools to layer many vibrant hues over the course of several days.  I finished the painting with teeny tiny 18/0 detail brushes.

Colorful was painted on a rigid canvas panel.  The edges of the panel have been painted, so this piece looks lovely displayed just as it is on a small stand or decorative easel.   Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.  ***NOTE: I can include a new plastic stand with your order at no charge if you request one at the time of payment.
