This joyous, playful original painting has been one of my favorite pieces since the moment I finished it.  I laughed out loud the whole time I was painting these two characters.  This is just such a happy piece!  Gleeful, even.  This painting features beautiful, unusually rich color; a bold, balanced composition, and some wonderful fine detail work.  It is a distinctive, inspired painting sure to bring smiles and a bit of silliness to any home or work space. How Comedians was created....  I painted this piece some time ago and can no longer recall the exact sequence of events that called these two characters into being.  I can tell you, though, that I had no idea these two were lurking in me when I sat down to paint.  And I had a heck of a lot of fun discovering them.  This piece represents the first time I really let go and painted in an expressionist manner.  I was intent on using color and lines in a playful way that reflected the loosey-goosey subjects. (How Comedians might look framed in a standard-sized 11" x 14" frame.) Comedians was created on an acid-free mat board.  You will want to protect your investment by framing this piece.  You can save a bit on framing if you choose a ready-made frame at your favorite home store and bring the art and frame together to a custom-framer who can mat the art to fit the frame.
