Commissioned works of art

For years, I declined requests to create commissioned works. I felt my creative process was too unpredictable and I had early experiences with commissions that were less than thrilling. But times change. With ten years more experience under my belt, I now find commissioned pieces to be a fun challenge. I have completed nearly fifteen hundred original works of art in my career and I am more confident in my abilities. I also have so many examples of my art available, that I now feel it safe to assume the customers approaching me about commissioned pieces have a firm grasp of how I work and what my images look like.

So if you are one of those customers and you have a favorite dog, cat, rat, house, lake, child, etc., that you would like to see captured in my unique artistic style, please click here to send me an email and we can discuss your needs. I will require several images of your desired subject if possible. And you will want to review the price list below before specifying dimensions. We can discuss materials used as well. I am open to creating special paintings in acrylic (on canvas or wood) or in gouache (on paper) or we could talk about a drawing in colored pencil or crayon or oil pastel - all available on mat board or paper.

Pricing for commissioned pieces:

You will be asked to pay half this fee before the piece begins and half of the fee upon completion of the finished work. Artwork will be shipped when it is paid in full. Payments are refundable only if I make a mistake in the work. I cannot refund payments because you changed your mind and now want a piece to go with your blue chair instead of your red sofa. Please think your needs through before requesting a piece.

Tiny Art $150

Small - measuring 6" on the longest side = $250

Medium - measuring 8" on the longest side = $350

Large - measuring 12" on the longest side = $500

Extra-large - measuring 18" on the longest side = $850

Oversized - measuring 24" on the longest side = $1,150

Even larger - Individually priced before we begin the piece.
