ABOUT THIS PIECE:  This painting sums me up.  It is a very personal piece.  It is the most true of all my work.  For me.  I rarely describe my work in a personal light.  I rarely even consider my work in a personal light.  The vast majority of my work is for you, for others, and I know that from the first time the images form.  But this one is for me.

I wrote a single phrase on the back side of this piece and the words read:  I must break what I am to release what I contain.

HOW IT WAS MADE:  This is a traditional brush painting with many layers of color.  But I did use a wee bit of ink and a dental tool for some key accents.  The crack in the egg is indented into the surface of the painting.

DISPLAY OPTIONS:  This image was created on white acid-free mat board.  NOTE:  There may be marks, abrasions or imperfection in / on the mat board that surrounds the painting.  Not the painting itself, just the border.  These marks will not show once your new art is matted and framed. 

You will want to frame your new drawing to protect your investment.  To frame your artwork affordably, you can buy a ready-made frame at your local home or discount store and then bring the frame with the drawing to a custom-framer.  The framer can mat the piece to fit the frame.
