What would you pay for a moment of happiness? For an hour? For a day? For a lifetime of joy? What if our very need to price things is what makes happiness unaffordable? How many of us give up true emotion, true feeling, true experiences in order to pretend that money really matters? To go through the motions and claim that easy "prize" of a regular paycheck? What objects that we own are worth the emotions we can't feel? This is a beautiful richly hued extravagant image. Filled with energy and emotion and love. I hope it spices up the homes of some fellow romantics out there. How Currency was created..... I used palette knives, brushes and a dental tool to put this piece together. There are many many layers of color here, applied over the course of several days. Finally, I used a tiny detail brush to paint the words and the outline of the heart. Currency was painted on a thin masonite square. The edges have been painted and this piece looks lovely displayed unframed on a small plastic stand or on a display easel. Otherwise, it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.
