ABOUT THIS PIECE:  This is a lovely piece to see in person.  I worked this canvas for a long time and it has so many different textures and so many layers of color.  Plus that pretty poignant tree in the warm light next to her missing friend.  What isn't there figures as much in this composition as what is there.  It makes me sad but it comforts me, too.

HOW IT WAS MADE:  I used all sorts of tools and tricks to bring this piece to life.  There is knife painting, brush painting, finger painting, texturing gel, and detailed work here.

DISPLAY OPTIONS:  This piece could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  Or it would also display nicely on the wall just as it is, no framing needed.  The image continues around the staple-free sides for a clean finished look.
