Morning is coming and this lone dreamer has found a special place to wave goodbye to the night.  She and the moon are old friends.  They meet regularly to debate current events and to tell stories about love.

This is a fun, emotional image of that in between time when day and night are one.  With a great bridge and the vast sea beyond.  I am hopeful this unusual piece will brighten the heart of some fellow explorer out there.

How Dawn was created.....   After the black gesso primer dried, I used a palette knife to paint the swelling hills.  They are lightly textured.  Once that area dried, I used tiny detail brushes to paint the elaborate scene.  The image and textures continue around the sides of the board.

Dawn was painted on a wooden board created specifically for use by artists. It has a recessed slot in the back allowing you to hang it flush with the wall. The sides of the board have been painted as well so that this piece would look wonderful displayed unframed either directly on the wall or on a small stand or decorative table-top easel.  *** I will include a small clear plastic display stand with your order for free if you request one at the time of payment.
