Title: Defiant Completed in: 2008 Size: 6" x 6" Materials: Acrylic on canvas panel The words read: I live for the impossible. |

(Enlarged to show details.)
|
MY REACTION: This is such a subtle elegant little piece with so many surprising bits of color. Really thrilling. CONTENT: This is an important piece for me. Powerful. Strong. Bright. With those wonderful words, too. I hope this brave independent tree inspires you to live bold. Right up to the edge. Where you can see the whole world. ARTISTIC CONCERNS: I used brushes, palette knives, and my fingers to create this one. The edges of the "land" are raised slightly from the surface of the canvas. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: This piece is on a rigid canvas panel. It can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass. It could also be displayed unframed on a small display easel. Or it could be shown on a little stand. I will include a clear plastic stand for free with this painting if you request one at the time of payment.
