This optimistic bat visits you with a chance to start over.  Because we all make mistakes.  We all have bad days.  And then the sun sets and the stars forgive us and the sun rises again.  Bats often appear  in Native American spiritual lore as symbols of rebirth.  Possibly because they sleep hanging upside down in a position similar to a baby in the womb ready to be born.  This is a vibrant playful hopeful image and I would love for this painting to warm your home with the promise of a new beginning.

How Do-Over Bat was created...  I used palette knives , wide soft brushes, a soft cloth, a dental tool and a tiny 18/0 spotter brush to create this fabulous little gem.

(The staple-free sides have been painted so you can display your new artwork unframed.  This is a digital photo, the scans above are more accurate.)

Do-Over Bat was painted on a small 4" x 4" gallery-wrapped canvas with staple-free sides.  This piece would look wonderful displayed unframed directly on the wall or on a small stand or easel.  Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it required no matting or glass.

Let's start over.
