ABOUT THIS PIECE:  Oh this unusual painting is the start of something new, I think.  Or maybe it completes something old?  It is so loose and expressive and emotional and immediate.  I think passing between those trees leads to a braver world.  And I think I am going there with my art. 

In a way, this piece recalls my very first works of art after returning to a creative life from my stint in the business world.  Those pieces were also vibrant and unusual and made to wake up your eyes.  But those pieces were tightly controlled and not nearly as explosive.  I think my life - as an artist and as a woman - has brought me to a place where I no longer hide from the scary stuff.  I no longer try to control my mark-making to the point of killing all spontaneity and fire.  This is a crazy hot painting.  Like a dream of transformation.  Like the dream a Phoenix might have before she rises from the ashes.

I hope this beautiful powerful image of a sacred place where the dreaming trees help you to feel might bring a bit of passion and renewed LIFE to your home or office.
