This soft simple emotional painting comforts me.  And sets my mind to wandering.  I like this dream.  This piece feels important to me in an organic way.  As though it will be with me for a long time.  Not because it is my best work, not because I invested it with conscious meaning or spent days and days making it perfect.  But because it grew quickly and directly from someplace meaningful.

How Dreams of Home was created.... This is a traditional brush painting.  Although I think I may have used palette knives on the very first layer of underpainting.  This piece is on my all-time favorite surface.  These lightly textured masonite panels are divine to paint on.  They take color beautifully.

This piece could be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  Or it would also display nicely just as it is, no framing needed, on a small easel or display stand.  I will include a clear plastic stand at no charge if you request one at the time of payment.

Dreams of home.
