MY REACTION:  This is a surprisingly pretty little piece.  It is very rare that I use black in this way, but I really like the results.  This little landscape captures that very special and fleeting time when you are not certain whether the day is beginning or ending.  When you cannot help but be soothed by the sky's reminder that "this too shall pass" as the days roll endlessly and softly onward.

CONTENT:  Landscapes always calm me down.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This piece is visibly textured with modeling paste.  And I used dental tools to define the "window" area.  After that, this is a traditional brush painting.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  This piece is on a rigid canvas panel.  It can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  It could also be displayed unframed on a small display easel.
