Oh... I am so happy. This piece is the best of what painting is about. It was a joy to create and it is so special to see, as well. So expressive and lovely and almost haunting. This little pug sticks in my mind. What a sweetheart. The words above the little dog read: Her eyes speak only of love. Isn't it amazing how devoted our furry kids can be? They never yell at us. They never criticize. They never try to change us or improve us or use us. Dogs are our guardian Angels. Here to teach us about true love. Selfless love. About living in the moment and expressing joy and paying attention to our loved ones. I am hopeful this beautiful little pug will be adopted by a dog-lover out there who appreciate innocence and vulnerability and purity of heart. How Eyes was created... I used palette knives to create the textured underpainting - layering several vibrant colors beneath, then dark colors on top. The rest of this special painting was completed as a traditional brush painting.

This piece was painted on a 3" x 5" stretched canvas. The sides of this piece DO have staples but they are covered by layers of texture and color and do not detract from the painting. Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.
