Who has not felt like this plant at some time in their lives? I spent the whole last year waiting for someone to set me upright and put the dirt back in my pot and tuck my roots in. We have all been there. This painting brings me immense joy and comfort. I love this piece. And I hope that you will love it, too. How Fallen was created..... After the black gesso primer dried, I used palette knives to create the beautiful expressionist painting that supports this fallen flower. I scraped the paint and texture away from the "window" area. Once that thick layer dried, I used a soft cloth to rub some warmer tones atop that painting. And finally, I used a variety of brushes to paint the "window" scene. Fallen was painted on a rigid canvas panel. The edges of the panel have been painted a deep shade of blue, so this piece looks lovely displayed just as it is on a small stand or decorative easel. Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.
