(Enlarged to show details)

This warm symbolic painting is so rich and satisfying.  The layers of color, the unusual textures and the simple words.  This piece includes the phrase "Life is cyclical."  Because we all have to be patient and have perspective as the various seasons roll past us.  We all have to fall sometimes.  And to grow at other times.  The challenge is to find the beauty of each cycle, each phase.  To enjoy where you are.

I am hopeful this glorious little celebration of Fall with bring joy and perspective to some other soul out there also experiencing the challenge of transitions.

How Falling was created.....   This piece has a a whole lot going on.  There is palette knife painting and brush painting and finger-painting.  There are areas textured with modeling paste.  There is tight detailed work and loose expressionist work.  And there is a warm glowing sense of light that came from hand rubbing warmer colors atop darker ones with a soft cloth.  Finally, I used teeny detail brushes to paint the fabulous leaves and the words.

Falling was painted on a rigid canvas panel.  The edges of the panel have been painted, so this piece looks lovely displayed just as it is on a small stand or decorative easel.   Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.  ***NOTE: I can include a new plastic stand with your order at no charge if you request one at the time of payment.
