4" x 6"

Acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas

(Enlarged to show details.)

I love this painting.  This bird makes me so happy.  I was absolutely delighted when she first appeared and I had a great time watching her develop.  She is a beautiful, peaceful, humble girl.  And this painting is loose and expressive and comforting and fun.

I am hopeful this unusual piece will bring a bit of February's strange expectant stillness to your home all year round.

How February was created...  This is a traditional brush painting.  There are many layers of color built up over time.  The fine details were created with an 18/0 spotter brush.

(The image continues around the staple-free sides so you can display your new artwork unframed.  This is a digital photo, the scans above are more accurate.)

February was painted on a gallery-wrapped canvas with .75" staple-free sides.  This piece would look wonderful displayed unframed directly on the wall or sitting on a small display stand.  Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it required no matting or glass.
