This piece is from very early in my
return to the art world. I had been working as a 9-5 business
person and not making art and not knowing anything about myself and
feeling very lost. And then I quit my corporate life and
almost immediately, the art started to come. These early
pieces often seem awkward to me. Strangely composed. The
color is often skewed. It may have to do with how
uncomfortable and unnatural I felt back them. This piece is from about the same time frame as the original Flying Girl drawing. Maybe just a wee bit earlier. This drawing is matted with acid-free mat board and shrinkwrapped. I am not willing to open the shrinkwrap, so I am not sure if it is signed or anything on the back. I do see that it is signed and dated on the front, though. The drawing has shifted slightly in within the mat and ought to be recentered before framing. This piece would be easy to frame since the matting is already done. I only made a few pieces a year back then, so these older pieces are rare.
