This is one of my favorite paintings in ages. There are so many ways in which this piece describes the events of my life and the concerns of many of my friends and family members. This piece makes me very happy. It feels like some of my clearest painting to date. I have grown bolder in my use of words, too. Not tucking them away in the background. Using color in the lettering. Allowing them to play a compositional role. It is all very exciting.

I am hopeful these unusual birds will bring some thoughtful smiles to your home or office.

How For no Reason was created..... This bad boy took a LONG time to come together. It went through many distinct stages before finding its way to this lovely end. Paint was applied with fingers, brushes, knives and rags. It was also been rubbed off, scratched through and blotted up. This is a complex piece with little bits of history peaking through here and there. I finished it with some fine detailed line work and those richly painted words.

For no Reason was painted on a rigid canvas panel. The edges have been painted, so this piece looks lovely displayed just as it is on a small stand or decorative easel. Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting. ***NOTE: I can include a small clear plastic stand with this painting at no charge.
