Imagine a bird lying on a couch in a therapist's office and
describing how she feels so conflicted because something inside her
really wants to fly South, but she knows that would be irresponsible
because she has a job here and her friend, Mr. Squirrel wants her to
stay put and, well, she just feels so guilty about the idea of
running away from everything and yet she can't shake that urge to
fly South! Silly, right? Except how many of us do that?
Fight our instincts in order to do or be whatever we think others
expect from us. Take a lesson from this wise feathered lady
and listen to your gut, not your overloaded brain. Trust your
instincts. Fly wherever you need to fly. And don't look
back. How Got a Feeling was created..... This is a traditional brush painting with lots of layers and some luscious soft hues. I finished this piece with incredibly tiny detail brushes, adding those fine fine lines and the words. Got a Feeling was painted on a thin masonite square primed with burnt umber gesso. The edges have been painted to match and this piece looks lovely displayed unframed on a small clear plastic stand. I will include one of these stands for free if you request it at the time of payment. Otherwise, this piece can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting. Or it can be shown on a small decorative easel if you prefer.
