This one small winged-turtle is soaring through a vast field of blue.  Not just blue, wild blue filled with surprising bits of vibrant color.  She is on her way.  Have you been putting off some important scary adventure?  Have you been stalling when you know it is time to start the next part of your journey.  This little turtle has one word for you.  GO!  Get moving.  It is time.

How Go was created.....   After the black gesso primer dried, I used palette knives to create a wild expressionist painting filled with bold playful colors.  That lies underneath the image you see.  Once the underpainting dried, I used a variety of stippling brushes to paint the many many layers of sky blue and purpley blue and sea blue and night sky blue.  And finally, I used traditional brushes to paint the small turtle and the "window" that she appears in.

Go was painted on a rigid canvas panel.  The edges of the panel have been painted, so this piece looks lovely displayed just as it is on a small stand or decorative easel.   Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.
