I
love this image. These cats make me really happy. Their
patient watchful postures. They cats know how to have fun!
And they know better than to rush love. This unique painting has a great balanced composition and some beautiful elegant linework. I am hopeful that Game of Love will bring a bit of color and passion and fun to your home or office. How Game of Love was created..... After priming this board with black acrylic gesso, I used wide soft brushes to paint the entire board a solid warm growing shade of green. Once that underpainting dried, I layered reds and pinks on top and then used a dental tool to scratch out the two small "windows". Finally, I used tiny detail brushes to paint those lovely gray cats and to add key highlights and the dangling heart.
(The image continues around the sides. This is a really crummy digital photo. The scans above and below are more accurate.) Game of Love was painted on a wooden board created specifically for use by artists. It has a recessed slot in the back allowing you to hang it flush with the wall. The sides of the board have been painted as well so that this piece would look wonderful displayed unframed either directly on the wall or on a small, decorative table-top easel. *** This piece also sits nicely on a small plastic display stand. I will include a display stand for free with your order if you request one at the time of payment.
