(The painting continues around the staple-free sides.  This is a digital photo.  The scans above are more accurate.)

MY REACTION:  This is a surprising little painting.  Sweet and poignant and thoughtful.  With a beautiful mix of colors.

CONTENT:  I love trees.  Trees are my family in much the same way that dogs are.  Except quieter.  Trees carry me through the seasons and remind me of how temporary us mammals are.  And the calm me down.  Telling me over and over that my worries will pass.  When a tree that I love dies.  When it is cut down or contracts a withering disease.  I morn its passing.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This is primarily a knife and finger painting.  It is noticeably textured.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  This piece is on a gallery stretched canvas.  The painting continues around the staple-free sides.  It can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  This one also shows well on the wall as it is, unframed.  Or it can be shown on a small display stand.
