I love trees and I love the edges of things, so this tree on the edge makes me very happy.  The incredibly vibrant colors boost my spirits, too.  There is no great message here.  Just a fun little landscape for those of us inclines to lean out for a better view.

How Hanging Out was created...      First, I used my fingers to push acrylic modeling paste into lovely irregular ridges that form the edge of the earth.  I also built up the tree shape in this manner.  Once that layer dried fully, I created this image as a traditional brush painting.

(The image and textures continue around the staple-free sides so you can display your new artwork unframed. This is a digital photo, the scans above are more accurate.)

This piece was painted on a 4" x 4" gallery stretched canvas.  The image continues around the staple-free sides, so this piece looks lovely displayed as it is without framing either directly on the wall or on a small decorative easel or stand.  Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.
