I have spent many many many hours of my life waiting for my happiness to fall from the sky and bonk me on the head.  I fight the tendency daily.  I always want to look around, to check my email or maybe my phone messages.  To see if somehow my happiness hasn't found me yet.

Of course I know on some level that happiness is the result of living well, not some sort of weather pattern or freak accident.  But sometimes it is hard for me to stay focused and create the life I need.  This little painting is a reminder to do what you must do to create what you must create.  Build the life you need!  Live in a way that suits you.

The words in this painting read:  Create your happiness.

How Happiness was created...  I used palette knives and a wide variety of brushes to bring this piece to life.

Happiness was painted on a rigid canvas panel.  The edges of the panel have also been painted, so this piece looks lovely displayed just as it is on a small stand or decorative easel.   Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no glass or matting.

Create your happiness.
