Yum, this painting is so beautiful and lush.  Filled with layers and layers of ripe color and natural textures.  This piece is a gem.  And then of course there is that precious Italian greyhound, too.  The words in this piece read:  I am easily overwhelmed.  This is a painting for my fellow sensitive souls out there.  Folks who are learning to accept their sensitive natures and to take quiet time when they need it.

How High-Strung was created.....   I applied texturing gel with natural sand around all sides of the canvas leaving just the center of the piece clear.  Then I used palette knives, brushes, and dental tools to created this beautiful rich image.

This piece was created on a stretched canvas primed with black acrylic gesso.  The sides do have staples, but they are completely hidden under acrylic texturing gel and paint.  This painting has finished sides and may be displayed unframed either directly on the wall or on a decorative display easel.  Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it required no matting or glass.
