Gouache on acid-free 140lb watercolor paper

This tree has pulled up her roots and taken to the sky. On her
way to visit family, maybe. Or maybe she is headed somewhere
new. On a Holiday adventure. Only she knows. I hope this lovely floating flying festive tree brings some Holiday cheer to your walls all year round. How Holiday Travel was created..... Gouache is like watercolor, only it is opaque rather than transparent. I use this media in much the same manner that I use acrylics. The difference is that these colors can be blended with water and are capable of much softer, more gradual transitions. This media is also less forgiving than traditional acrylic paint and requires more forethought and more patience. (Which is why I do not use it very often! Patience and forethought are hard for me.) Holiday Travel was painted on acid-free heavy weight paper. You will want to frame this piece to protect your investment. To frame your new painting affordably, you can pick up a ready-made frame at your local home or discount store and then bring the frame with the painting to a custom-framer. The framer can mat the painting to fit the frame.
