This is a tribute to a wonderful little dog named Cosmo.  He belonged to a friend and he passed away suddenly at a relatively young age.  My friend commissioned this piece as a gift for her daughter who was Cosmo's best friend.  I had the good fortune to meet Cosmo when he was healthy and playful and will always remember him that way.

This is one of those very very rare pieces that flowed from me as though someone else was moving my hand.  I was surprised and thrilled to see it unfold.  I love this painting.

I hope this image brings comfort and smiles to many folks out there.  I know it comforts me.  The sentiment reads, "I am love.  And I am with you always."  That helps me to accept the loss of my own furry friend.  To know that the love she showed me and the love she inspired in me has changed my heart forever and will always make the world a better place to me.

How this image was created.....   This is a traditional brush painting.

This piece was painted on a gallery stretched canvas primed with black acrylic gesso.  The image continues around the staple-free sides.  This painting may be displayed unframed either directly on the wall or on a decorative display easel.  Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it required no matting or glass.
