Title:  I Heard Music

Completed in:  2008

Size:  5" x 7"

Materials:  Acrylic on canvas panel

The words read:  I heard music.

And so I danced.

(Enlarged to show details.)

MY REACTION:  Lots and lots and lots of color.  And movement.  Fluid lines.  Gorgeous edges.  This is a fun painting.  Like fresh flowers.  Or a juggler with colorful stuff flying through the air.

CONTENT:  Like a Rorschach ink blot test, this abstract is very much open to interpretation.  It felt like dancing to me, so I added those fun words.  But there is no wrong story here.

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This is a knife and brush painting.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  This piece is on a rigid canvas panel.  It can be easily and affordably framed as it requires no matting or glass.  It could also be displayed unframed on a small display easel.

I heard music.

And so I danced.
