MY REACTION:  This is how I always WANT to paint.  What I am always striving for.  But usually I am too much of a tight ass.  Thankfully, I managed to loosen up for this fabulous little series.  What fun!

CONTENT:  I never thought much about rats until I was found by a lover of rats who first bought the painting titled White Rat and then went on to become a collector of my work and also my friend.  She managed to infect me with her passion for rats.  This small series is inspired by photos she took of her rodent kids.  I just loved her photos so much, I had to paint these cuties.  Here is the series...

ARTISTIC CONCERNS:  This is a combination of brush painting and fingerpainting.  Over the top of other painting and ink sketches.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:  These rats are on gallery stretched canvas.  The paintings continue around the staple-free sides.  They can be easily and affordably framed as they require no matting or glass.  They also show well on the wall as is, unframed.  Or they can be shown on small display stands.
