This gorgeous vibrant painting just sings with color. It is
intoxicating. And inspirational. It makes me want to go out and buy
new colorful cloths. To dress myself in oranges and greens and
blues and purples. Like a unique and magical sunset.
I have always believed that Birch trees are rebels. Choosing to dress in white bark with bits of gray and pink instead of the traditional brown on brown color scheme. I also find that nature is bold with her paint brush and that we too often assume the grass is just green and the sky is just blue. There is so much more to see! I am hopeful that this happy landscape will inspire some secretly wild soul out there to shed their mundane skin and adopt a brighter persona. How Individuality was created..... After the black acrylic primer dried, I used palette knives, my fingers, brushes, and towels to apply layers and layers of color. Sometimes I let layers dry between applications. Sometimes a allowed layers to mix while still tacky. Once all f the textures and underlying colors were set, I used brushes to paint the scene and the gorgeous lines and the small flecks of unexpected color. And I finished by adding the words, "Be bold." Individuality was painted on a professional quality gallery-wrapped canvas. This piece looks wonderful displayed unframed directly on the wall. Or it can be easily and affordably framed as it required no matting or glass. It is also looks lovely displayed on a small decorative easel.
